Is ridge augmentation the same as a bone graft?

Ridge augmentation is similar to a bone graft. With this treatment, we use bone and tissue-grafting procedures to increase the amount of bone in your upper back jaw.

  1. We offer IV sedation, local anesthesia and nitrous oxide options to help you feel relaxed during treatment
  2. Dr. Li will make an incision in your gum tissue and lift it upwards to make room for the bone graft
  3. From there, the bone is grafted to the upper jaw and given time to heal
